Tri Hita Karana Doctrine In Hinduism
Tri Hita Karana is
etymologically derived from the word Tri meaning three, Hita means happiness,
well-being, and Karana means cause. So Tri Hita Karana means three causes of
happiness or well-being. This is manifested in the harmonious relationship
between :
Harmonious relationship with God Almighty
How do we establish a
harmonious relationship with God ? If you can, just do not see ? God simply can
not be seen but can be felt . A relationship with God , should not meet or see
him . That's impossible when God in a transcendent state , let alone awidya
covering so thick in us . Then establish a connection with what ? By
understanding and implementing its teachings. When associated with Panca yajna
, in terms of a relationship with God , including God of Yajna Sincere
sacrifice to the gods , such as celebrating the feast of Saraswati, Siwaratri, Prayer,
and so on.
Harmonious relationship between humans
Humans should establish a
harmonious relationship with others, in order to create a harmonious living,
peaceful and prosperous. In Hinduism we know Tat tvam Asi, the slogan that
should be used as the foundation for a relationship with each other. When
others hurt, in fact it's the same with self- harm. If all people think so, of
course, peace will be created. When associated with Panca yajna relationships
with others can be realized by yajna rsi, Pitra Yajna and Yajna to human, such
as giving to the Sulinggih Punia, from infants to the wedding ceremony,
honoring elders, and so on.
Harmonious human relationship with the natural environment
Human life on earth is not
free from entanglement with the natural environment. Reciprocal relationship
between humans and the environment will not stop when the man was alive. But
sometimes greedy human nature makes nature suffer. Exploitation of nature on a
large - scale without thinking about its consequences. Many examples of the
result of irresponsible exploitation, as global warming, Lapindo mud, and so on.
Therefore be. Therefore, a harmonious relationship with the environment we
should do. When associated with Panca yajna relationship with the environment
can be realized by Bhuta Yajna, such mecaru, segahan, and so on.
The third relationship has
unified whole and interconnected. Take, for example when making piodalan temple
/ other Yajna ceremony. In the event either consciously or not we have done
this three relationships. Relationship with God, it is clear Yajna was
addressed to God. The second relationship with humans, when we ngayah 's where
this relationship occurs , help each other to complete the task, communicate
well and develop a sense of kinship . And the last one relationship with the
environment , it is clear there mecaru therein.
